And the only thing I want to learn now is how to make those paper peonies.

Take a class with The Green Vase if you can! If not, she has a book: https://shop.thegreenvase.com/products/the-exquisite-book-of-paper-flowers

I’m guessing you’ve already read The Summer Book by Tove Jansson, yeah?

I have, but it’s been a few years, and it’s one that seems worth revisiting. Thanks for the reminder.

If you can fit in North Devon, do visit Bude, which is the quintessential English seasiide small town, with a museum dedicated to a fascinating local inventor, a lovely beach, canal, and windsurfing. North Devon is also the location of the Hartland Peninsula (https://www.hartlandpeninsula.co.uk/) - abbey, glorious countryside and uncrowded roads. The RHS garden at Rosemoor is another gem.

Thanks so much, Susy. If I’m able to fit a day trip in to visit North Devon, I will keep these sites in mind.
