Good morning,
After a magical (almost) month in Copenhagen, I’m eager to reminisce and to share with you some of my favorite experiences in the Danish capital. What follows is far from an exhaustive guide to the city’s offerings; it’s merely a list of what I personally most enjoyed during my stay and now miss—plus a few things I eyed but never got a chance to experience. Everything is included on the Google map linked below, which you can save to your phone for reference.
Note that I’ve included some destinations outside of Copenhagen, in such places as Hellerup and Ordrup to the north and Malmö just across the strait in Sweden. Nothing more than an hour’s train ride.
We were warned and questioned before our trip: Copenhagen in January? Short days, cold and grey! I absolutely loved it. The cold was refreshing, the days—during which the light was often theatrically bold and chromatic—just long enough. And besides, the city has plenty of options to keep you sheltered, entertained, and fed.
Best wishes,
Brian
